Experiencies in Sóller

Whether you’re visiting the town of Sóller for just one day or planning to stay for several, we’ve put together a variety of options to help you make the most of Sóller and its surroundings — tailored to the amount of time you have.

Discover the Essence of Sóller

Recommended itinerary (if you’re visiting for just one day): historic town center + Port de Sóller

Upon arriving at the entrance to the town, head to one of the designated parking areas. From there, take a pleasant 10-minute walk along Gran Via — one of Sóller’s most iconic streets — and you’ll soon reach the town center.

Stroll through Plaça Constitució, admire the Modernist architecture (such as Sant Bartomeu Church and the Bank of Sóller), and explore the charming cobbled streets filled with local shops offering food, crafts, textiles, and the town’s municipal market.

Continue along Sa Lluna, the main shopping street, until you reach the Can Prunera Museum, a beautifully preserved Modernist mansion that offers insight into the town’s golden era.

After visiting the museum, return to the square and hop on the tram that will take you to Port de Sóller, as you enjoy the views of the valley and the orange groves along the way.

Once at the port, take a walk along the waterfront, enjoy the seaside views, browse local shops for souvenirs, treat yourself to a refreshing ice cream, and end your day watching the sunset from the Passeig d’Es Través or take a short walk through the old fishermen’s quarter of Santa Catalina, climbing up to the viewpoint with spectacular views over the Mediterranean.

Sóller: Nature and Culture

Start your day with a family-friendly hiking route, surrounded by century-old olive trees, stone terraces, and breathtaking views of the Serra de Tramuntana.

One great option is the walk from Sóller to Fornalutx and Biniaraix — an easy yet rewarding hike where, in addition to stunning landscapes, you’ll discover two charming villages.

Fornalutx, a picturesque and peaceful village, invites you to wander its narrow streets, enjoy a drink in the main square, or sample its diverse local cuisine.

From there, a short walk takes you to Biniaraix, a small hamlet that’s part of Sóller. It’s the starting point for several hikes into the mountains, including the Barranc de Biniaraix, one of the most scenic gorges in the Tramuntana.

Another wonderful option is to visit a traditional agricultural estate and taste local products like olive oil and citrus fruits. Places like Ecovinyassa or the Can Det Cooperative offer immersive experiences in Sóller’s farming heritage.

In the afternoon, head up to the Ses Barques viewpoint for an unforgettable panoramic view of the valley at sunset.

To end the day, enjoy dinner at a Mallorcan restaurant, where you can savor authentic local dishes made with seasonal ingredients.

A perfect plan for those looking to combine landscape, history, and local flavors.

Excursion Along the North Coast

Take a boat trip to Cala Tuent and Sa Calobra — a perfect outing during the high season or when the sea is calm.
Alternatively, you can reach them by road, driving along an incredible scenic route, famous for its dramatic curves and stunning views of the mountains and coastline.

If you choose to visit Sa Calobra, don’t miss the Torrent de Pareis, a spectacular gorge that cuts through steep cliffs and opens into the sea — a truly breathtaking natural setting.

Take in the views and enjoy a relaxing swim in the crystal-clear waters.

If you opt for Cala Tuent instead, you’ll find a quieter and less crowded spot — perfect for disconnecting in nature or enjoying water sports in a peaceful setting.

In the afternoon, return to Sóller for some shopping in local artisan shops, and relax with a drink on a terrace café in the town center.

An ideal plan for those who want to experience the natural beauty, local culture, and a touch of everyday life in Sóller.

Visit the Museums of Sóller

Start your day with a visit to the Botanical Garden, home to a wide variety of native plant species, and continue to the Museum of Natural Sciences (MUCBO), which features fascinating fossils from the Serra de Tramuntana. It’s also a great opportunity to take a walk through the peaceful surroundings of the town.

In the afternoon, enjoy some shopping in local artisan shops, and relax with a drink at one of the outdoor cafés in the town center.
